SHOWTIME: “The Loudest Voice”

Today Fox News Channel is the most-watched cable news network. But in 1996, a new network like Fox News Channel seemed destined to fail, entering an already crowded news space. This is how Roger Ailes made sure it would succeed.

I directed/wrote this explainer for the premiere of The Loudest Voice, a SHOWTIME® limited series, which examines the life of Roger Ailes and how he shaped Fox News Channel into the network — and force of nature — it would become. Using a mixed-media approach, we combined clips from the show with bold collage-style graphics, which gave the piece a retro feel and highlighted the passage of time across the rise of Fox News Channel.
